1. Information we collect

DeskPulse does not collect any personal information. The application runs entirely on your computer and does not transmit any data about you to us or to anyone else.

The only network connections DeskPulse makes are to public market-data services to fetch current prices. These requests contain no personal information and are identical to visiting those services in a web browser.

2. How we use information

Because DeskPulse does not collect information, there is no use of personal data. The application only displays market data fetched from public APIs on your desktop.

3. Data stored on your computer

DeskPulse stores a small settings file locally, containing:

• The coins you chose to track and their order
• Price alerts you created (coin, level, whether it has fired)
• Portfolio amounts you entered, if any
• Display currency, refresh interval, language, theme and layout preferences
• Widget position and behaviour settings (always on top, ghost mode, hotkey, autostart)

This data never leaves your computer and is deleted when you uninstall the application.

4. Third-party services

DeskPulse connects only to the following services, read-only and without authentication:

• CoinGecko public API — cryptocurrency prices, market data and coin search
• alternative.me — the Crypto Fear & Greed index
• GitHub Releases — checking for and downloading application updates

No personal data is sent to these services. Their own privacy policies apply to the requests your computer makes to them.

5. Security

• No network connections except to the services listed above
• No access to browser data, extensions or cookies
• No access to cryptocurrency wallets, seed phrases, private keys or exchange accounts
• Open-source code available for audit on GitHub

6. Website

This website may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and downloads. No personal data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

7. Children’s privacy

DeskPulse does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated revision date.
